About The Author

Sally-Ann O’Dowd is a Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based freelance journalist and communications executive with 20 years of international public relations and advertising experience, including seven years running PR for Publicis Groupe agencies in Chicago and Paris. Through her new company, Sally On Media, she provides branding, marketing and editorial services to small- and mid-sized businesses. Her two e-zines—"Creativity Is Risky: Free Speech in a Charlie Hebdo World" and "Creativity Is Contagious: Brands and Culture for the Common Good"—serve as prototypes for immersive and interactive branded content. O'Dowd earned her MSJ from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
